7.2 - Improving the Capability of Regional Tourism Authorities

This funding was aimed at increasing the capacity of the Regional Tourism Authorities to roll out the Tourism Promotion Plan programs in their regions.

Cradle Coast Authority, Totally South Tourism and Northern Tasmania Development each have a two year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tourism Tasmania. The fund has enabled each Regional Tourism Authority (RTA) to increase its human resources to deliver the TPP related programs. Progress reports for December 2007 have been received and approved. The program concludes in June 2008. Final payments will be made to each RTA once each final plan report has been received and approved.
